Blue Fish Valley

This dive site is located just outside the North Head of Sydney Harbour, offering a unique experience amongst a collection of boulders. The area features a prominent wall running parallel to the shoreline, presenting a complex and interesting underwater landscape – often described as a ‘mess’ of boulders creating swim-throughs and overhangs. The wall itself boasts soft coral and sponges, alongside a diverse population of nudibranchs. Descending to the sandy bottom reveals potential encounters with pelagic species like tailorfish and kingfish, particularly on favorable days. You may also be lucky enough to spot weedy sea dragons and fiddler rays. Common inhabitants include giant cuttlefish around the boulders, Port Jackson sharks, wobbegongs, and shoaling scad, old wives, and yellowtail fish.
