About this dive site

This dive site is located approximately 600 meters offshore from Fingal Head and roughly four kilometers southeast of the Tweed River mouth in northern New South Wales. It’s easily accessible by boat, making it a popular choice for divers of all experience levels. The marine reserve spans around 80 hectares and boasts a diverse underwater landscape. Expect to find areas covered with hard and soft corals, interspersed with boulder formations that create walls and caves descending to the sandy seabed. Locals appreciate this site for its permanent population of green and loggerhead turtles.

Divers can anticipate encountering a vibrant array of reef and pelagic fish, including pufferfish, groupers, and clownfish. The summer months are particularly rewarding, offering sightings of nudibranchs, stingrays, eels, octopus, wobbegongs, and even leopard sharks. Visibility varies, but the overall environment is inviting for exploration.
