About this dive site
Dalhousie is a geothermal freshwater spring, the water is naturally clear of 3-6 meters — but not “ocean clear.” The bottom is soft and can get stirred up easily. Early mornings (especially at sunrise) usually give the best clarity with glassy water and fewer swimmers.
Fed by ancient groundwater from the Great Artesian Basin, the springs stay warm year-round (around 38°C), making them an unreal place to soak while surrounded by red desert dunes and endless outback sky.
