About this dive site

This dive site is located at the Seaway, the main navigation entrance from the Pacific Ocean into the Gold Coast Broadwater. It’s a very popular shore diving location in South East Queensland due to its rich marine life and accessible location. The area offers a diverse habitat for over 400 different species. There are two sets of stairs leading down to the south wall, providing easy access to the dive site. An elevated pipeline runs across the Seaway; this is a popular spot for Queensland Groper. Diving here typically ranges in depth from 5 meters to 25 meters with an average depth of 15 meters. The best time to dive at this location is approximately 15 minutes before high tide, as visibility is generally improved during that period. Diving is only possible when the tide is incoming and should never be attempted on an outgoing tide.
