About this dive site

This dive site is located within the Ribbon Reefs, specifically at the Cod Hole. The dive begins with an easy descent to a sandy bottom around 8 meters. Divers will then cruise toward the channel separating Ribbon 10 from Cormorant reef. The highlight of this location is the chance to encounter a massive Potato Cod, often reaching up to six feet in length and exhibiting behavior similar to that of a Labrador – truly remarkable creatures. These gentle giants are frequently observed and provide excellent opportunities for underwater photography. Reef sharks are commonly seen alongside schooling sweetlips and snapper. Occasionally, if the current isn't too strong, deeper areas may be explored, where legend speaks of pygmy seahorses residing.
