This dive site is the Бассейн БГУФК (BGUFK pool), located within the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture in Minsk, Belarus. It serves as a dedicated indoor facility for confined water dive training. The pool features a substantial pit measuring 30 by 30 meters, reaching a maximum depth of 6 meters, making it one of the deeper training pools in the region. Navigation is straightforward within the confines of the pool, providing a safe and controlled environment for divers to learn and practice skills without the complexities of open water.
As an artificial indoor pool, this dive site does not host any marine animals or plant life. Its purpose is purely for human training and recreation, not for observing natural ecosystems.
The BGUFK pool is suitable for diving year-round, thanks to its indoor setting and consistent water temperature of 28 degrees Celsius, offering comfortable conditions regardless of external weather. It is an excellent location for beginner divers to complete their confined water requirements, for certified divers to refresh their skills, or for freedivers to practice breath-hold techniques in a safe and warm environment. The facility also boasts comfortable theory classrooms, large changing rooms, and showers, enhancing the overall training experience.
