About this dive site
Put van Ekeren is a beautiful freshwater lake located in the Benelux region. Access to the water is easily achieved via a spacious parking area and a short walk to a well-maintained jetty. Divers enter and exit through stairs on this jetty. Visibility at Put van Ekeren is generally good, though it can vary depending on conditions. During summer months, the area around the lake is often overgrown with vegetation, creating a diverse underwater environment. This lake supports a variety of aquatic life including pike, perch, tench, eels, and freshwater crayfish. Diving here requires a permit, which grants access to a sanitary block. The permit allows for exploration of this unique freshwater ecosystem.
