About this dive site

This dive site, located at Hamlet Oasis near the second gate, offers an accessible entry via a rocky area. A navigation marker pipe runs down the reef, serving as a clear exit point. The diving begins directly from the shore, following a south-trending reef that gradually transforms into a dramatic vertical wall after approximately 10 minutes of swimming. This wall is adorned with vibrant plate and whip corals, creating an abundant habitat for various marine creatures. At around 18 meters depth, you'll discover large elephant ear sponges – keep an eye out for jacks and tarpons in the deeper sections surrounding this area. For experienced divers, a small wreck named "La Machaca" awaits at approximately 15-18 meters, reachable within 30 to 35 minutes of your dive. Returning along the reef provides a chance to explore shallower areas teeming with life. This site is well-suited for advanced divers who enjoy deep dives, navigation skills and fish identification. Night diving is also a rewarding experience here.
