This dive site, known as Tailor Made, is a less frequented spot on Bonaire, contributing to its largely unspoilt reef system. The underwater topography features a dramatic wall that commences at a depth of 9 meters and plunges down to 40 meters, though the maximum recommended diving depth for this site is 22 meters. Divers typically navigate along the top of the wall or follow its contours, exploring the rich coral formations and diverse marine life.
The site boasts typical Caribbean marine life, offering encounters with nurse and reef sharks, and the possibility of spotting impressive eagle rays and stingrays. The reef is teeming with a variety of fish species including vibrant snapper, angelfish, grunts, and parrotfish, showcasing a healthy and active ecosystem.
Bonaire is an excellent year-round diving destination, and Tailor Made is no exception. Due to its remote location, accessed via a long bumpy road, and the lack of cellular coverage, divers should plan accordingly, ensuring they are self-sufficient. This site is suitable for freedivers due to its impressive wall and varying depths, and snorkelers can enjoy the vibrant reef top.
