About this dive site

This dive site, Cabeço Dois Irmaos, is a challenging deep drift dive situated between two prominent rock formations (bollards) in the pristine waters of Brazil. Divers undertake a descent and ascent entirely by drifting, which demands excellent buoyancy control and awareness of currents. While the recreational maximum depth is 36 meters, the site itself extends to depths of 52 meters, offering a profound exploration for advanced divers.

The rich marine ecosystem here is teeming with life, featuring numerous schools of both reef and pelagic fish. Encounters with magnificent rays, graceful sea turtles, elusive moray eels, and various species of sharks are common occurrences, underscoring the site's vibrant biodiversity.

With consistently excellent visibility ranging from 30 to 50 meters and typically mild currents, Cabeço Dois Irmaos provides superb conditions for experienced divers seeking a thrilling deep dive adventure. It is particularly rewarding for wide-angle photography due to the abundance of large marine life and expansive underwater landscapes. The depth and drift nature make it unsuitable for snorkeling, but it is appropriate for experienced freedivers.
