About this dive site

This dive site, Babino Wall, is situated just south of Rabac in Croatia, offering an engaging underwater topography. The dive typically commences from a shallow plateau at approximately 6 meters, from which divers proceed eastwards along an edge to a depth of around 20 meters. Following the edge left, the route reveals a beautifully overgrown and steep wall that extends further north into deeper waters, providing an interesting and varied dive profile.

The diverse marine ecosystem thriving at Babino Wall includes notable inhabitants such as lobsters, elusive conger eels, and various snails, all nestled among large and striking gorgonians that adorn the wall. In the adjacent sandy areas at the base of the wall, divers frequently encounter petrels, flounders, graceful rays, and gurnards, adding to the richness of the site's biodiversity.

Babino Wall is suitable for all levels of divers; beginners can enjoy the shallower plateau, while more experienced divers can explore the deeper sections of the wall. The combination of varied depths, interesting wall formations, and abundant marine life makes this a rewarding dive destination. While no specific time is mentioned, generally, the warmer months offer the best conditions for diving in the Adriatic, with good visibility and comfortable water temperatures.
