This dive site offers a unique exploration of historical industrial ruins submerged beneath the waters of Přehrada Slapy. Divers can navigate around the remains of an old power plant and a tannery, which lie between 20 to 25 meters deep. Notably, 5-meter tall intact walls mark the original layout of the power plant, extending about 100 meters along the previous riverbed, providing an intriguing underwater landscape for exploration.
The site is home to a variety of freshwater marine life. Divers can expect to encounter groups of small basses, larger pikes, zanders, and common freshwater species like carps, catfish, and eels. Crayfish are also present, adding to the smaller fauna diversity.
While specific best times are not provided, diving in Czechia typically means colder water, so appropriate thermal protection is recommended. The site's depth and structural elements make it suitable for intermediate divers. Freedivers can also enjoy exploring the upper parts of the structures and practicing depth.
