About this dive site
This dive site is located at the ammonia port, a historically significant area easily identified by two large round tanks visible from the Little Belt Bridge. This location served as a shipping point for ammonia for many years and remains popular with anglers and divers today. To reach the main diving areas, head out along the belt keeping course at 100 degrees; the depth quickly increases to approximately 25 meters. The seabed is varied throughout this area. At the coast’s far end, you'll first encounter an eelgrass bed which transitions into a slope featuring mixed brown algae and mussel banks. Close to the old bulwark, the depth drops to around 12 meters. Below the bulwark, a long steel mesh, overgrown with vegetation, provides a unique underwater feature. This mesh was installed to prevent propeller damage from ships navigating the harbor.
