The marine life here is abundant and diverse. Divers can expect to encounter large schools of various fish species, often forming impressive blocks of glassfish. The coral formations themselves are a highlight, featuring beautiful black corals and elegant gorgonians alongside vibrant hard and soft corals. The shallow areas are particularly rich, home to numerous clownfish, curious pufferfish, various species of groupers, and distinctive boxfish, creating a bustling and colourful reef environment.
The best time to visit Coral Forest is generally during the spring and autumn months when the weather is pleasantly warm and underwater conditions are optimal. This site is a fantastic choice for photographers, offering both wide-angle opportunities with its expansive coral landscapes and schooling fish, as well as excellent macro subjects among the reef life. Its shallow depths and generally mild currents make it suitable for all levels of certified divers and an excellent spot for freedivers and snorkelers to enjoy the vibrant shallow coral gardens.
