About this dive site

This dive site, Elphinstone, is a renowned off-shore reef located approximately 375 meters in length. It’s recognized as one of the top ten diving destinations globally and boasts a dramatic topography featuring significant drop-offs descending to depths exceeding 100 meters. The reef presents an abundance of soft corals and offers diverse marine life encounters. A slight northerly angle to the reef creates consistent currents across its northern and southern plateaus, which serve as prime locations for observing various shark species including Oceanic White Tip sharks (September through November), Scalloped Hammerhead sharks (June through August), Grey Reef sharks, Silver Tip sharks, Thresher Sharks, and Mantas (March and April). The site is consistently teeming with life. Visibility can vary but generally provides excellent conditions for underwater exploration.
