About this dive site

This dive site, Flamenco Beach Resort, offers an accessible shore dive from a jetty, leading to a dramatic reef wall. The wall descends to 40 meters and beyond, although the most vibrant coral formations are concentrated in the shallower sections, up to about 18 meters. The deeper sections, however, are a hotspot for pelagic encounters, making it a captivating dive for experienced divers and snorkelers alike.

The marine life is diverse and abundant. Expect to see schools of fusiliers, majestic eagle rays gracefully gliding through the water column, curious moray eels peeking from their crevices, and graceful hawksbill turtles. Larger pelagic species like tuna and dolphins are frequent visitors, and during the right season, even whale sharks might make a grand appearance.

The best time to visit is during the warmer months, when visibility is typically at its best, and the chances of seeing whale sharks are higher. For freedivers, the shallower sections offer ample opportunities for exploration, while scuba divers can venture into the deeper parts of the reef to encounter the larger pelagic life. Remember to always dive with a buddy, be aware of potential currents, and maintain a safe distance from marine life.
