About this dive site
This dive site, known as Gabr el Bint, is located in North Sinai and ranks among the most beautiful areas for diving. Access can be gained by boat, 4x4 vehicle, or camel. Due to its remote location, it receives fewer divers than other sites in Dahab, preserving a remarkable state of cleanliness. The name 'Gabr el Bint' translates to ‘The Grave of the Girl’ in Arabic. There are two distinct dive areas available. The primary dive is centered around a ledge teeming with vibrant coral formations, creating an exceptional habitat for numerous marine species. You’ll frequently encounter schools of anthias, scorpionfish, parrotfish, crocodilefish, surgeonfish, triggerfish, trumpetfish, and sometimes even stingrays. A turtle sighting is also common here. At the end of the ledge, a shoal of black and white snappers and twinspot snappers often resides between 5 and 10 meters below the surface. This dive offers a truly rewarding experience, showcasing the pristine beauty of North Sinai’s underwater world.
