About this dive site
This dive site is Gordon Reef, located in the Strait of Tiran and represents the southernmost reef within this area. The reef features two lighthouses – an unmanned one to the southwest and a ruin of a lighthouse to the north, offering potential exploration for those interested in challenges. Sandy moorings are available near the south and east/west sides, with depths ranging from two to ten meters. Diving is primarily concentrated in the southern portion, where the drop-off begins at 25 to 30 meters before descending further to 50 meters. The rest of the reef descends steeply to a maximum depth of 300 meters. A notable feature is the 'amphitheater,' a sandy depression known for occasional sightings of scalloped hammerhead sharks, creating a truly unforgettable experience. Whitetip reef sharks also frequent this area.
