This dive site is located approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes southeast of El Gouna in Egypt, making it a boat-access only site. Shaabruhr Umm Gamar is highly regarded as one of the premier dive sites in the region, stretching roughly 200 meters in length. Divers can expect to explore vibrant hard and soft coral formations along its distinct sloping drop-offs on both sides, making it an excellent location for both drift diving and general exploration.
The site is teeming with diverse marine life, known for its rich biodiversity. It is particularly famous for a high density of moray eels, stone fish, scorpionfish, and crocodile fish, offering fantastic opportunities for macro and mid-sized animal encounters.
