This dive site, known as Shark Divers House Reef, is located approximately 10 minutes north of El-Fanar beach in the Ras Um El-Seed (El-Hadaba) area of Sharm El Sheikh. It offers very easy access via a dedicated jetty, making it convenient for divers and snorkelers alike. Underwater, the site features a striking coral wall that drops down to the open sea. This wall acts as the main navigation point, running parallel to the shore, exposing divers to dynamic currents and a vibrant ecosystem.
The currents often bring in a variety of larger pelagic marine life, making it a hotspot for encounters with Dolphins and Turtles. Large Moray eels are also frequently spotted among the coral formations, hiding within the reef's crevices. The extensive coral wall itself is teeming with diverse reef fish, colorful hard and soft corals, and a myriad of smaller macro creatures, making it a rich environment for biodiversity.
The best time to visit this site is generally during the calmer months when currents are predictable, though the site is accessible year-round. It is suitable for all levels of divers, with shallower sections ideal for beginners and deeper areas offering more challenging experiences for advanced divers. Freedivers will appreciate the wall's depth and the excellent visibility. Snorkelers can enjoy the dedicated confined area near the jetty, providing a safe and rich experience.
