About this dive site

This dive site is a house reef located directly in front of a dive center in Soma Bay, Egypt, making it easily accessible. The dive is relatively straightforward, suitable for beginners, with a maximum depth of 17 meters and an average depth of around 8 meters. Navigation is simple, following the reef structure, which is primarily composed of impressive stone and soft corals.

The reef teems with a variety of Red Sea fish of all sizes, from small reef fish to larger species. Moray eels and pufferfish are also commonly sighted, adding to the diversity of marine life. The coral formations themselves provide habitat for a wide array of smaller creatures and invertebrates, ideal for macro photography.

The best time to visit is during the warmer months, from April to October, when the water temperature is most pleasant and visibility is typically best. However, it's important to note that currents can be variable, so checking the weather and dive conditions before entering the water is always recommended. While this is a suitable site for freediving, always dive within your limits and consider buddy diving for safety.
