About this dive site
This dive site, Cape Revellata, offers an exceptional underwater experience characterized by its dramatic landscape of canyons, corridors, and drop-offs. Navigating this site requires awareness of potential currents, which can be moderate. The site’s isolation and preservation contribute to its pristine beauty, making it feel like a natural aquarium.
The marine life here is abundant and diverse. Divers can expect to encounter groupers, dentex, corb, moray eels, barracuda, gilthead sea bream, and various gorgonians. The richness of the ecosystem supports a wide variety of smaller creatures ideal for macro photography opportunities.
The best time to visit Cape Revellata is during the warmer months (June to October) when the water is calmest and visibility is at its peak. Freedivers should be mindful of the potential currents and plan dives accordingly. Divers are advised to check weather and current conditions before embarking on a dive. Given the potential current, dive experience with underwater navigation and appropriate buoyancy control is recommended.
