This dive site is located at the Glücksburg marina, accessible from Norderstraße coming from Flensburg. Divers can park at the public parking lot, not at the marina itself. The dive is a shore entry, making it easily accessible. Underwater, divers can expect to navigate around the marina environment, encountering both natural flora and fauna alongside various debris.
The marine life at Quellental includes diverse flora and fauna, typical for the Baltic Sea. Notable inhabitants include the one or other big flatfish, which can be an exciting find. Divers may also encounter various smaller fish species, crabs, and other crustaceans making their home amongst the seabed and debris. Seaweed and other aquatic plants form part of the underwater landscape.
The best time to visit Quellental for diving is typically during the warmer summer months (June to September) when water temperatures are at their highest, though cold water gear is essential year-round. While not a high-visibility tropical site, it offers unique local discoveries. Its shallow depths make it suitable for beginner divers and a great spot for practicing skills. Freedivers and snorkelers can also enjoy the site due to its accessibility and shallow profile.
