This dive site features the 'Prahm' wreck, a 25m long, 8m wide vessel that sank in the 1970s and lies at a maximum depth of 15 meters on the Baltic Sea bed. The wreck is relatively well preserved and offers an interesting navigation experience around its heavily overgrown structure. Its history as a practical vessel now transformed into an artificial reef makes it a captivating underwater exploration.
The Prahm is a thriving habitat, heavily adorned with marine plants and numerous shells, creating a rich tapestry of life. Divers can expect to encounter a variety of species including starfish, plaice, crabs, and various smaller and larger fish species that have made the wreck their home.
The best time to visit this dive site would generally be during the warmer months when water temperatures are more comfortable and conditions are typically calmer, though visibility can vary. For freedivers, the shallow depth makes it an excellent site for breath-hold diving practice and exploring the wreck. Scuba divers will find it an ideal location for beginner wreck diving and macro photography opportunities.
