About this dive site

This dive site is located in Süplinger Canyon, just outside Magdeburg, Germany. It’s a former quarry offering easy diving with reliable visibility year-round. The entrance to the canyon is approximately 100 meters from a parking area and conveniently marked with buoys near Haldensleben. Divers can find practice platforms nearby. The site features an underwater forest, small wrecks, a construction wagon, cable drums, and numerous smaller objects scattered across a steep wall – providing plenty of exploration opportunities. Maximum depth reaches 12 meters (39 feet), while visibility typically ranges from 6 to 8 meters (19 to 26 feet). It’s home to various aquatic life including sturgeon, catfish, whitefish, and freshwater jellyfish during certain seasons. The area is rich in biodiversity.
