About this dive site

This dive site is Agni reef, located in Greece, a rocky reef accessible by boat, approximately 15 minutes from the shore. The reef is suitable for all levels of divers, with a gradual slope from 1.5 meters to 30 meters. At approximately 40 meters, there's a wreck, preceded by a World War II mine. Divers should carefully navigate the reef and maintain awareness of their depth, especially around the wreck and mine. It's recommended to dive with a guide to ensure safe exploration of this site.

The reef is teeming with marine life, including diverse fish species such as salema, breams, comber, octopus, starfish, grouper, and scorpionfish. White bream are also commonly seen among the rocks and crevices. Divers can encounter various species of fish that provide opportunities for both macro and wide-angle photography.

The best time to visit Agni reef is during the summer months (June to September), when the water is warm and visibility is excellent. During this time, conditions are usually calm making it suitable for freediving and scuba diving. It is important to check the weather forecast before heading out as strong winds and currents can occasionally impact visibility and diving conditions. Always prioritize safety by having a dive buddy and maintaining proper buoyancy control.
