About this dive site

This dive site is Pyrgaki Cove, a sheltered bay in Greece offering diverse diving experiences suitable for all levels. The underwater topography is varied, featuring a shallow sandy bottom interspersed with large rock boulders, creating interesting navigation points and hiding places for marine life. There is also a wall drop-off and crevices to explore, adding an element of adventure.

The marine life is abundant and varied. You can expect to see flounders, scorpionfish, eels, nudibranchs, octopus, and even turtles depending on the time of year. The rocky substrate supports a rich variety of invertebrates and algae, making it ideal for macro photography.

The best time to visit is during the summer months (June-September) when the water is warmest and visibility is typically at its best. The calm conditions of the protected bay make it suitable for both scuba diving and freediving. However, always check the weather forecast before your dive and be aware of potential changes in current strength. Remember to maintain a safe distance from all marine life.
