About this dive site
This dive site, known as Green Pearl, holds a special place in the hearts of those who know it. It was created and named through a generous donation to the Roatan Marine Park's "Name a Dive Site" program by the shop manager and her husband, honoring their 30th wedding anniversary. The name reflects the color green – representing that milestone – and the gemstone pearl. Green Pearl offers a fantastic diving experience with numerous swim-throughs leading into and out of a vibrant reef wall. You’ll discover an abundance of small caverns and intriguing narrow sandy bottom labyrinths to explore. Wide sand chutes, rising from approximately 40 feet at the bottom to nearly the surface, create dynamic features. Notably, one sand chute culminates at the crest of a former ancient waterfall – a truly unique element of this site. This location provides opportunities for exploring diverse underwater landscapes and is a rewarding dive for those seeking adventure.
