About this dive site

This dive site is suitable for both divers and snorkelers. It offers a gentle experience, making it ideal for beginners or those seeking a relaxed outing. Access to the location is via a short boat ride. The depth is shallow, contributing to its ease of access. Kau Sai Chau (or Kiu Tsui Chau) has two beaches: Kiu Tsui Beach, which stretches from north to west, and Hap Mun Bay Beach, located on the south side of the small island. Although there's a small concession stand at Kiu Tsui Beach offering bottled water, soft drinks, and beer, it's still recommended that you bring your own lunch and snacks. This beach, which is part sand and part pebbles, is perfect for swimming or sunbathing, with its clear blue skies and boundless, azure sea views. You can also take the hiking trail that connects Kiu Tsui Beach and Hap Mun Bay Beach. The trail is about two kilometers long and offers beautiful scenery along the way. The initial section of the path is shaded by trees, but the view gradually opens up, giving you a 360-degree panorama of the vast blue ocean, fascinating rock formations, and lush green mountains—an unbeatable natural landscape. There's even a selfie stand at the viewing deck, making it easy to snap photos and capture the stunning scenery. To protect corals and other marine life, a "No Anchoring Area" has been established to the west of Kau Sai Chau. This is to remind boat operators to avoid dropping anchor in this area and to stay clear of the nearby shallow coral zones. Snorkelers should also check the seabed environment before entering the water to avoid stepping on corals. Beginners practicing snorkeling should keep away from the coral areas and never stand or rest on corals, touch anything with their fins, or stir up seabed sediment. Please visit the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department website for more information on marine conservation.
