About this dive site

This dive site, known as the Great Wall, is characterized by a magnificent wall of staghorn coral that extends for hundreds of metres. Divers typically navigate along the wall, which is bordered by extensive seagrass fields and soft sandy bottoms. While there is no known historical background, the site offers a visually striking underwater topography. The Great Wall is home to a diverse array of tropical fish, including vibrant snappers, damselfish, angelfish, anemonefish, and parrotfish. Beyond the reef fish, divers may also encounter occasional cuttlefish, graceful moray eels, and various species of stingrays. The predominant coral type is staghorn, forming the impressive wall structure, complemented by the surrounding seagrass meadows. The site's main highlight is its extensive coral wall and the abundant reef fish life. Due to the slight surge, good buoyancy skills are essential for both divers and freedivers to avoid contact with the sharp coral. The average depth of 8 meters makes it accessible for most, though the maximum depth of 17 meters allows for deeper exploration along the wall. Typically, tropical diving is best enjoyed outside of monsoon seasons for optimal conditions.
