This dive site, known as Netrani or Pigeon Island, is a popular destination located off the coast of Murudeshwar in Karnataka, India. It’s renowned for its exceptionally clear waters and abundant marine life. The island offers excellent opportunities for both scuba diving and snorkeling. Divers frequently encounter vibrant coral reefs teeming with schools of fish, along with predators such as barracudas and moray eels. On rare occasions, whale sharks have been spotted in the area. Visibility typically ranges from 15 to 30 meters, making it consistently considered one of India’s premier diving locations. Netrani is an uninhabited island; access for diving is usually arranged through operators based in Murudeshwar.
