About this dive site

This dive site, located on the west side of Alor Island near Kalabahi, offers a unique muck diving experience. The seabed is characterized by a black sand slope, creating an ideal habitat for diverse macro invertebrates and fish. Ampera is particularly renowned for its abundance of nudibranchs, seahorses, shrimp, crabs, and even frogfish. Rhinopias are also frequently observed here. Divers should be aware that visibility can be limited due to the nature of muck dives, requiring a comfortable level of experience and an appreciation for slower-paced exploration. It is suitable for divers who enjoy this type of diving.
