About this dive site
This dive site, known as Falco Cave, holds a fascinating history. It was first explored in the 1960s by Ennio Falco. The entrance and exit are remarkably wide, leading to a cavernous space. Within this cave system, divers can ascend to a dry plateau where they encounter stunning stalactites. A unique feature of Falco Cave is the presence of shallow water areas containing red coral – a highlight for visitors to Alghero, renowned for its vibrant coral reefs. Average depth is 10 meters. You might encounter various marine life including groupers, slipper lobster, barracuda, nudibranchs, octopus, and conger eel. The site also offers the opportunity to observe red coral.
