About this dive site
This dive site, Picchi di Pablo, is characterized by a dramatic vertical wall dropping from a boat anchor point at 6 meters to a sandy bottom at around 30 meters. Divers descend along this wall, exploring numerous crevices and overhangs teeming with life. The wall itself is a stunning underwater landscape, with varied textures and depths providing opportunities for both macro and wide-angle photography.
The diverse marine life inhabiting the crevices and the open water surrounding the wall includes a variety of fish species that form schools around divers. Shrimp can be found in a small cave at 30 meters. While larger animals might not be as prevalent, the abundance of smaller creatures and the overall biodiversity make this a rich dive experience.
The best time to visit would likely be during the warmer months, from June to September, when water temperatures are most pleasant and visibility is typically higher. Divers should be aware of the potential for mild currents, especially at deeper depths. Freediving is possible, but divers should always maintain awareness of their depth and the underwater environment. The dive is suitable for intermediate divers, and it's recommended to have some experience navigating walls before attempting this dive.
