About this dive site

This dive site, located at Punta Negra, offers a captivating experience overlooking the Gulf of Macari. Situated behind St. Vito, it’s accessible via a route along the Capo coastline. A boat mooring is available just meters from the rocky shore. Divers initially descend to approximately 5 meters and then navigate through a shallow canyon teeming with octopus dens. Beyond the canyon lies an edge leading to two steps descending to 12 meters. Continuing further, the dive follows a wall on the left side, gradually increasing in depth up to a maximum of 40 meters for experienced divers. The walls are remarkably steep and extensive, necessitating multiple dives to fully explore their beauty. The seabed beyond recreational depths holds fascinating red fancorall colonies. Even without reaching these extreme depths, Punta Negra presents a visually stunning dive.
