About this dive site
This dive site is located near Torre Vado marina, offering a fascinating exploration of the wreck of the Tevfik Kaptan 1. This Turkish merchant ship sank in June 2007 on a seabed at a depth of 20 meters. The vessel, nearly 90 meters long, has been divided into two distinct sections. The forward area remains in its original navigation configuration, while the stern section is dramatically tilted almost vertically at a 90-degree angle. A notable abundance of groupers creates an excellent hunting ground for anglers seeking triggerfish and barracuda, which are frequently observed in large schools. It's a compelling dive offering a glimpse into maritime history and diverse marine life.
