This dive site, Agojima Island in Onagawa, is a beginner-friendly location just 5 minutes by boat from Onagawa Port. It offers rugged reefs and narrow waterways, creating a scenic underwater terrain. With typical depths of 11-12 meters, reaching a maximum of 17 meters, it provides a manageable and interesting environment for novice divers to explore without significant historical context or specific navigation challenges.
The marine environment at Ago Island is known for its resident species. Divers can consistently spot pink dungfish, beaked sculpin, and true booyahs (maboya) throughout the year.
