This dive site, Koino Ura in Fukutsu City, Japan, overlooking the Genkai Sea, is a highly accessible spot from Kitakyushu and Fukuoka. Renowned for its ease of entry and exit, it serves as an excellent location for beginner diving courses. Its shallow depths and calm conditions make it suitable for comfortable underwater exploration and navigation is straightforward due to its gentle topography.
Divers at Koino Ura can encounter a variety of marine life including scorpionfish, stingrays, mackerel, snappers, sunfish, and flatfish. Yellowfin reef sharks are also present. Notably, the site is known for its diverse range of nudibranchs, particularly observable from winter to spring.
