This dive site, Shobuzawa Beach, is located in Kawazu-cho, Shizuoka, on Japan's Izu Peninsula. Formed by ancient volcanic activity, its underwater landscape features unique lava formations, vibrant reefs, and sandy areas, providing a diverse environment for exploration. Its shallow depths and clear waters make it easy to navigate for divers of all levels, with beach entry facilitating straightforward access. The site boasts rich marine life, attracting macro enthusiasts with its abundance of small creatures. Year-round, tropical fish can be observed. Seasonally, spring and summer bring squid spawning and snappers, while fall offers sightings of barracuda and sea bream. The diverse volcanic formations also host various coral and invertebrate species. Shobuzawa is excellent year-round, with specific seasonal highlights: spring/summer for squid and snappers, fall for barracuda and sea bream, and winter for exceptional macro life.
