About this dive site

This dive site is located in the northernmost part of the region, only a short boat ride away – approximately 20 minutes. The diving begins at a buoy anchored on a sandy channel at depths ranging from 16 to 17 meters. This reef is characterized by an abundance of features, including numerous overhangs teeming with vibrant soft corals—yellow and purple varieties are particularly prevalent. A diverse array of fish populate the area, including schools of snappers, coral groupers, lionfish, and glassfish. Sightings in the deeper drop-off areas have been spectacular, with encounters documented featuring reef sharks, whale sharks, manta rays, dolphins, large Napoleon wrasse, and sea turtles. The shallower sections are bustling with activity, hosting large groups of red-tooth triggerfish and clouds of anthias (or Sea goldies). You’ll also discover an impressive variety of other reef fish such as angelfish, butterflyfish, surgeonfish, plus some less common creatures like crocodile fish, octopus, frog fish, leaf fish, scorpion fish, and nudibranchs. Spending time observing the coral groupers being cleaned by their attendant cleaner shrimp in the overhangs offers a fascinating glimpse into this ecosystem.
