About this dive site

This dive site is located near Garoh Island 1, approximately 50 minutes from Al-Khiran and Al-Zour in southern Kuwait. The dive site features a circular coral reef structure, accessible primarily by boat due to the nearby police station and restrictions on landing. Navigating underwater is straightforward due to the relatively shallow depth and generally clear visibility. While information on its history is limited, its unique reef formation and diverse marine life make it a popular diving spot in Kuwait.

The marine life here is quite diverse. Divers can observe various species of fish, including many types of reef fish, along with turtles and stingrays. The coral reef itself showcases a range of coral formations and colors, providing ample opportunity for both macro and wide-angle photography. Depending on the season, you might encounter other invertebrates and smaller marine life.

The best time to visit is likely during the warmer months (spring and autumn) when water visibility is at its best and the sea is calmer. For freedivers, the shallow depth and generally calm conditions make it ideal for extended breath-holds. Divers should be aware of potential boat traffic near the island and always maintain a safe distance from the shore where access may be restricted.
