About this dive site
This dive site is located in the Dolomite Quarry Reservoir, a former quarry now forming a lake situated in the district of Riga and Jurmala region. It’s easily accessible from Riga – approximately a 25-minute drive. The quarry reservoir offers diving depths ranging from 4 to 9 meters. A prominent landmark nearby is the Slokas windmill, serving as a useful navigation point. The driveway and parking area are associated with the water intake facility of SFRS. Divers can utilize the parking lot at the Dolomite quarry for access. The site features several unique underwater attractions including two platforms designed for introductory diving instruction. Visitors will discover an impressive 3.5-meter long shark model named 'Anton', alongside a dinosaur sculpture, ‘Nesija’, capable of partially surfacing. Furthermore, there is a sunken ship wreck referred to as "Slokaniks", along with a diver's model tent and a mirror available for use.
