About this dive site
This dive site, known as Fish Bowl, offers a unique experience due to the presence of millions of juvenile fish sheltering amongst the reef. A key feature is the thriving black coral – an unusual variety that appears pale white and yellow underwater but turns black when dried. This coral typically grows at depths ranging from 14 to 18 meters, though it’s usually found down to 30 meters or below. The area is very active, with schools of barracuda, sardines, and juvenile scat frequenting the black coral trees. Divers can also explore the sandy bottom for a chance to encounter seahorses, pygmy squid, saw-blade shrimp, and whip coral shrimp. This dive site provides excellent opportunities for critter spotting.
