About this dive site

This dive site, known as Laluan Naga or 'Dragon's Path', is renowned for its majestic topography. A massive boulder juts out from the shoreline, extending deep into the sandy seafloor. From the shallows, the unique rock formation appears as if a gigantic creature has flattened the bottom, giving rise to its evocative name and creating an intriguing underwater landscape.

The site boasts a healthy ecosystem, showcasing a vibrant blend of both soft and hard corals. Divers and snorkelers can expect to encounter a variety of reef fish, including colorful Angelfishes and unique Filefish, navigating through the coral gardens. Occasionally, graceful turtles are sighted, adding to the allure as they swim amongst the large boulder corals.

The best time to visit Laluan Naga aligns with the dry season on Malaysia's east coast, typically from April to September, when visibility is generally at its best. Its shallow maximum depth and captivating rock formations make it an excellent spot for both scuba divers of all levels and freedivers seeking unique underwater landscapes and marine encounters.
