This dive site, Tuna Bay House Reef, is conveniently located directly in front of the Tuna Bay Resort, offering easy beach access. It extends towards the Marine Park Jetty. Navigation is straightforward, typically following the reef from the beach along the jetty. There is no specific recorded history beyond its function as a resort house reef.
Divers can expect to encounter a variety of marine life including Black-Tip Reef Sharks, Blue Spotted Stingray, Coral Groupers, Lionfish, Damselfish, and Parrotfish. The underwater landscape is characterized by healthy Boulder Corals, providing a vibrant habitat for these species.
The best time to visit for diving is generally during the dry season, from March to October, when water conditions offer the best visibility. This site is highly recommended for beginner divers, snorkelers, and freedivers due to its shallow depths and convenient shore entry. Keep an eye out for reef sharks, particularly around the jetty area.
