About this dive site

This dive site features the Bolifushi Wreck, a 60 ft long steel wreck remarkably standing upright in the water. Its bow reaches just 4 meters below the surface, while the stern rests at a maximum depth of 21 meters. This unique orientation makes navigation straightforward; divers can easily explore its structure from top to bottom, observing the impressive coral growth that has enveloped the entire vessel, transforming it into a vibrant artificial reef. The Bolifushi Wreck is a haven for marine life. Divers can expect to see an abundance of colorful tropical fishes darting around the structure. The impressive hard coral formations cover much of the wreck, providing shelter and sustenance, while softer corals thrive in the shaded areas. Lionfish are a common and easily spotted resident, often found lurking within the wreck's nooks and crannies. Bolifushi Wreck is suitable for divers of all experience levels, from beginners enjoying the shallow upper sections to more advanced divers exploring the deeper parts. It is also an excellent spot for freedivers and snorkelers, who can enjoy the vibrant marine life around the bow. The Maldives generally offers good diving conditions year-round, but always check local current conditions as they can vary.
