About this dive site

This dive site is Fuggiri Wall, located on the southern side of Fuggiri Island in the Maldives. Accessible by a 25-minute boat ride, it features a stunning wall that drops from a top reef at 10 meters, though the primary diving focus is within the recreational depth limits. Divers typically navigate along the wall, exploring numerous overhangs found between 12 and 18 meters, which are adorned with vibrant soft corals. The Fuggiri Wall is teeming with diverse marine life. The colorful soft corals in the overhangs provide a habitat for smaller creatures like nudibranchs and scorpionfishes. Deeper, between 25 and 30 meters, large coral blocks provide shelter for amazing marine creatures. Divers can easily encounter pelagic species such as majestic grey reef sharks, graceful eagle rays, and sizable tuna fishes. The Maldives generally offers excellent diving conditions year-round, with specific seasons potentially favoring certain marine encounters. For divers, the vibrant soft corals and prolific fish life make it a rewarding experience, while the chance to spot large pelagics adds to the excitement. Freedivers will appreciate the accessible top reef at 10 meters and the shallower overhangs for extended breath-hold explorations.
