About this dive site
This dive site is located on the north-eastern corner of Hanimaadhoo Island in the Maldives. It features a top reef at 5-7 meters with interesting boulder and coral formations, gently sloping to a sandy bottom at an average depth of 20m. Navigation is straightforward, making it suitable for divers of all experience levels.
The site is teeming with marine life, including colourful reef dwellers, rays, sharks, turtles, and schooling fusiliers, jack fish, and snappers. Additionally, smaller macro species can be found among the corals and rocks, offering opportunities for detailed observation.
Hanimaadhoo Corner is a year-round destination, with typically good conditions in the Maldives. The shallow top reef makes it ideal for both snorkeling and freediving, while scuba divers can explore down to 16 meters. Best highlights include the diverse reef ecosystem and potential encounters with larger pelagic species.
