This dive site, Naainfaru Irumathi, is a long reef (faru) located on the south-east side of Naainfaru island in the Maldives. It offers a fairly easy drift dive experience, guiding divers along a beautiful sloping reef. The reef's top starts at approximately 5 meters and descends to around 25 meters, providing a gentle underwater journey without complex navigation. The vibrant hard corals of Naainfaru Irumathi host a rich array of marine life. Divers can expect to discover various reef dwellers and unique creatures such as octopus. Encounters with larger animals are common, including graceful turtles, and there's a good chance to spot sleeping stingrays and majestic eagle rays cruising by in the blue. The best time to visit the Maldives is generally year-round, with good conditions prevailing most months. This site is particularly well-suited for beginner divers due to its easy drift and manageable depths.
