About this dive site

This dive site, known as the Tiger Zoo, was discovered in April 2017 and is characterized by a remarkable concentration of tiger sharks. The area offers year-round opportunities to observe these sharks, ranging from shallow depths to deeper waters, with the potential for dozens of individuals to be present simultaneously. Importantly, the tiger sharks are not aggressive and do not require feeding. To access this unique dive location, divers must complete a specialized orientation program provided by local dive centers, which includes safety briefings and equipment guidance. The site is accessible to divers of all certification levels, including those new to diving (DSD). A comprehensive database containing information on nearly 300 individual tiger sharks resides at this location. The depth range is shallow, making it suitable for a wide range of experience levels.
